SIMAH to deliver enhanced security with voice biometrics

Contact center system integrator IST has announced that SIMAH, the Saudi Credit Bureau, will lead the way in voice biometrics with the deployment of iSecure for its new state-of- the- art contact center.
Making the announcement, Mr Mohamed Fahmy, IST’s Chief Executive Officer, said that the company would work in partnership with SIMAH to deliver this innovative solution, which would be based on world leading voice biometric specialist Agnitio’s engine and a first for Saudi Arabia. IST is a strategic partner for Agnitio, who is keenly supporting all the activities in the region.
SIMAH, Saudi Arabia's first comprehensive Credit Bureau, is embracing voice biometrics as a key component in its security procedures for consumers and members ordering credit reports. This innovative biometric technology will be integrated by IST, through its iSecure product, into SIMAH’s new Cisco contact center. It will greatly enhance users’ security as it is the only biometric technology that can be used remotely via the telephone.

Eng. Mohamed Al-Hajeri indicated that the ability of voice biometrics to impact users’ peace of mind, by ensuring that their own voice is their access key, is priceless. “This is not something people can forget or lose easily,” explained Eng. Al-Hajeri.
SIMAH will launch this solution, which is eagerly anticipated by its members, in October 2009.
